The 2018 COPO Camaro is coming and you can get in line now to be 1 of 69 people to own one of these bad boys. The 2018 COPO is available with three different engine combinations, the LSX Based Supercharged 350, the LSX Based 427,a nd the LT Based 302.

Now some of you who may not know a lot about Camaro history, but they indeed did have a 302 in the 1967 to 1969 Z/28 Camaro. It was known as the DZ 302 and it used a 327 engine block, and a crankshaft from a 283, which resulted in a 302.4 cubic-inch displacement. This made it so the Z/28 could compete in the SCCA Trans-Am circuit. With big block engines ruling in those times, the high-revving little 302 could hit high rpms and being reliable too. Needless to say, any of these engines are great options so it comes down to personal preference. The 302 Naturally Aspirated comes in at 410 horsepower, the 427 Naturally Aspirated has 470 horsepower, and the Supercharged 350 has 580 horsepower. At the end of the article you can see the complete breakdown of each engine option. These horsepower ratings are less than that of a Camaro ZL1, but this is a purpose built drag racing machine. Each engine has a different differential gear ratio that goes with it as well. No matter what engine you choose, the car still needs wheelie bars, so obviously there is plenty of power to go around.
