The Axial SMT10™ Grave Digger changes the R/C game

The Axial SMT10™ Grave Digger changes the R/C game

It’s happening, the rise of radio controlled monster trucks is making a resurgence. When I was a kid, a long time ago, there were a ton of monster truck options. Most of them were offered by Tamiya and Kyosho. The Clodbuster, Lunchbox, Double Dare, Midnight Pumpkin, Big Brute, Black Foot, Monster Beetle, USA-1, Sledgehammer, and the list goes on. These things were awesome. Not all of them were four wheel drive, but some were. The … Read entire article »

Overlanding vs. Off-roading

Overlanding vs. Off-roading

Overlanding vs. Off-Roading Trends change constantly, especially with automobiles. Usually, it doesn’t take long for something old to become mainstream and then be taken to new heights. One of the most upcoming trends is the Overlanding trend. People are really getting in to decking their vehicles out for Overlanding escapades and the after-market parts are being released as fast as people can buy them. With all of these new parts and “Overlanders”, I decided to do … Read entire article »

VW Nationals Indianapolis Pictures

VW Nationals Indianapolis Pictures

The following are our pictures from the 2013 VW Nationals in Indianapolis. Honestly, the event was mildly disappointing to me as I was expecting a larger turnout for the car show, swamp meet, and autocross events. The weather may have had something to do with it as it was overcast and a large chance of rain. The drag racing was exciting even with the crowds being smaller than expected. Only 2 or 3 cars participated in … Read entire article »

COPO Camaro’s Hit the Track

COPO Camaro’s Hit the Track

I saw this awesome video on Youtube and I couldn’t help but share. It is one of the 69 newly released COPO Camaro’s with one of it’s first runs down the track at a blistering 8.88 seconds. Pretty awesome for being an out of the box drag car from Chevrolet. This particular one is said to be #3 of the production with a 327 cubic-inch small block with a 4.0 liter supercharger. Other COPO’s either … Read entire article »

Road Rocket Rumble 2012 Pictures

Road Rocket Rumble 2012 We decided to try to beat the heat by going on Friday to the Road Rocket Rumble. There were not as many cars as expected to be there on Saturday, but we still saw plenty of awesome cars. Almost everyone we talked to was pleasant and more than willing to talk about their ride. We also spoke a couple of pinstripers at the event. One of the guys was super nice, … Read entire article »

Ford continues Aston Martin “look” with Focus and other models

Ford continues Aston Martin “look” with Focus and other models Not many cars have stirred up so much interest as the 2013 Ford Fusion. Mostly because of the great looks which are very close to that of an Aston Martin. Ford hasn’t stopped there though, they are continuing this “new” great look with the Focus, Fiesta, and even their Transit Connect. The Transit Connect has not had any official releases yet, but there have been many documents … Read entire article »

VW Show – Larry’s Off Road Center Nationals 2012

VW Show – Larry’s Off Road Center Nationals 2012

Our family decided to take a trip to Kilkare Dragway, Xenia Ohio, to check out the Larry’s Off Road Center 2012 Nationals. We weren’t really sure what to expect, but it seemed like it would be a good time with a promised show, swap meet, and drag racing. The price for entry was a little steep with the amount of vehicles which showed up, but it was still a good time. As you can see from … Read entire article »

Patina & Rat Rods

Patina & Rat Rods

Trends in the automotive scene change over time. Paint schemes, engine options, tubbed or not tubbed, and so much more. In the last decade the Rat Rod scene has become huge, so much so the new choice of paint color isn’t even a color per say, it’s patina. Patina is technically a film that develops on the surface of a metal or other substance over time. In the automotive world patina is basically naturally worn … Read entire article »
